That engine looks quite decent.
The boat looks better than mine AFTER I fixed it up.

I also have the same trailer, what gives with these wheel fenders, mine are the same.

OK,

Now I'm really confused...

* The motor looks pretty good and is running...

* The transom is solid...

* The stringers are mostly solid...

Compared to many if not most rebuilds on this forum, that boat sounds to be in pretty good shape.

But again, rehabs aren't for everyone, and if that isn't your cup of tea. Fine. But it sounds like it would be a shame to send it to the junkyard. Like I said, put it on Craigslist or freecycle... I'll bet that someone will jump at the chance.

my 2 cents..

if you dont want to do the work, sell the motor/outdrive and trailer. for what paid.. running boats are worth more than non running boats.


I might get yelled at but here goes..
heres what I would do..

if the transom is good and and stringers are a little rotted..
take the old floor out, take out the wet foam.. and sister in the partially soft stringers.. toss a quick floor in it.. soak the floor with paint .. screw a couple seats in and use it for a year or so....

then.. when the time and $$ come together.. rebuild it..

in my book.. if you have it runnning.. thats half the battle.....


if you were closed i'd take it off your hands.. its a nice looking boat..

haha yeah my boats motor is blown...id be happy as a pig in **** if the motor worked! not only do i have to bebuild transon,stringers,deck and repaint but I have to buy a ne wmotor when Im all done with that LOL

ok. me two. originally inver grove hieghts south of the twin cities but now i am out near willmar. your boat is a project but it is one of the few here that i look at and know it would look good if you re-did it. im working on one now and im 19 on the college ramen noodle diet/budget but im getting one done so you could for sure. i will post some pictures of mine soon and you can see that it isnt that hard. im just figuring out how to resize the pictures so they will post right. plus most of the good fishing here in minnesota is right near shore for a while into the season so that buys another month to get it done!

here it is. unfortunelty this only covers the little i have done sinse cleaning it up and im a little budget shy but i am stripping it for paint right now and am also working on rewiring the trailer. its not that expensive to work on these boats but they get addicting to work on one you start. just make sure that you take and post pictures of EVERYTHING you do!!!
