Here's a few pics of my 3hp Folding Johnson. Just finished painting it and applying decals. I had to replace the case for the lower unit as the skeg was broke off, and also replaced the prop as it was badly cracked from the blow it apparently received from the previous owner. I also rebuilt the carb and put in a new impeller, so she's ready to go as soon as this lovely Michigan winter is over.

The only problem I see with it is that it's missing the tag. The one that says "ship to JBJennings". :)
nice job. I've been wanting one of those jw's.......

Beautiful job, I think I have a twin to the Evinrude in the background.

Matched it as close as possible at Auto Value. They have several books of paint swatches and can mix and put it in aerosol cans. They can also use their digital camera, but there wasn't a large enough flat area on the motor to get an accurate shot, so we went to the paint books.

That's a '53-'54 Lightwin. So I have the beginning and ending of the 15 year run of that particular 3hp model. It may be next winters' project.

Yup, with the fuel pump I can run it forever on a 6 gallon tank of gas! This is a keeper motor which I'm using on a little flat-bottom boat. The boat fits perfectly in the back of my S10 pickup truck, so very convenient when we go camping. We tow the pickup behind the motorhome. All the conveniences, and now I can go fishing too!

HehHeh - Yeah, I probably won't leave the motor on the boat at night. I have the suitcase with the motor, so it's an easy job to remove it, put it in the suitcase, and set it on the seat in the pickup truck.
