So this off season my brother (co-owner) and I had a miscommunication and failed to get the boat winterized.

Result was a popped core plug and cracked manifolds.

Replaced the core plug and found a pair of used manifolds and began to investigate further issues.
Boat started and ran surprisingly well. No obvious problems.
No watery oil. Fwd/Rev shifts are ok.

So today we were making sure we are ready to give it a lake test and I was looking around one last time for leaks.
On the starboard side at the center just below the manifold I found a drip. There is an existing crack there that has been jb welded. We've owned the boat since the spring of '03 so the block has been cracked at least 10 yrs.

Considering the boat's value, and the time we've gotten out of it so far we plan to just try to seal the crack and run it.
I figure it might last 10 minutes, or maybe another 10 yrs.

Run it like you stole it!!!
If it's not leaking into the oil???
Run it.

That's the plan.
I was kinda dumbfounded when I discovered the crack. To have gone this long and never noticed.
Not long after we bought it we noticed what appeared to be JB weld along the bottom edge of the manifolds. So I guess the new found crack on the block really shouldn't be a surprise.

I would like to get the leak stopped, but it seems the motor is running normally.

FWIW - we found a pretty clean pair of replacement manifolds for $420 shipped. Only seen a few cheaper -- several a LOT higher.

Re-sealed our new found crack and put it on the water over the weekend.
No problems detected.
I guess she's up and running again :)
