Just found out ihave a crackd blockPLEASE HELP

:facepalm:Just got real bad news from the shop that my block is crackd,and i have no idea where to even start looking for one. My boat is a 91 vip 3.0omc gm. I want to get a longblock(sumn i can just sit in n bolt up). Should i go back with the same block? How can i tell what year model the block is? Its not the orginal motor that cum in the boat because the front motor brackets are home made. The numbers on the side of the block is 14096613 250/89GM Any help would be appreciated!!!

What kind of drive do i have omc drive system model#986028 serl#T00268408 # on valve cover is model#302BMRPWS serl# T01190608

Ayuh,... Picture postin' is covered in the Tech, non-boatin' forum, pinned to the top...

Yer limited to finding another 3.0l long block...
I'm not sure of the year, the rear seal changed,...
About 1990 I think...

You may have to pull it, 'n Look...
