People that I know that uses them use them for crappie fishing at night and they work quite well. They don't attract crappie but they do attract bait fish which can attract crappie.
Went fishing yesterday and caught a couple of specs . As soon as night fell I threw the light in there were a couple of minows swimming around it an about a hr later my boy caught a 29 " drum and I caught 2 16" drums and a sheep head . I was pitch black out there so was it the light or just lucky?? Lol
