Just purchased 1996 Merc 5hp. A little HELP please!

I have a 1996 Mercury 5hp engine. The engine is very clean and starts on 1st or 2nd pull. After the engine is warm and I shut it down it is difficult to restart, and when I check spark plug it is wet. What could cause the restart problem? I am also looking for a maintenence manual for this engine.

I would check the fuel pump. Is it integral (on the carburetor)? Also an incorrect float level in the carb.
