i got this 900 dollar 16 ft starcraft supersport. i think the spec guide says it is about 650 lbs empty. it has a twin 90 hp rude. at the boat launch it is 18 bucks but on the pier there is a do it yourself launch winch that costs a buck. i usually use it for my 14ft aluminum how much do u gus think the motor weighs?

I would estimate the engine around 300lbs dry, add oil gas you are already at of just over the 1k limit. Don't risk it to save $17. Find another launch.

Eighteen dollars for launch ramp use is a ridiculous amount of money. Go find another launch to use. Six months from that ppoint, kall of your receipts to the first guy and show him how many launches he failed to get paid for by charging too much.

it is a sling hoist not a ramp and the next closest ramp is 25 miles away

25 miles isn't that far, and the money you'd save would cover any gas used for the round trip.
