Cool. I'm north of Hayward. Was in Rice Lake yesterday, Pete's trailers... Getting parts...Cabin is between Rice Lake and Hayward.
We might have to put that into moderation ... a naked carb!carb porn

Nice looking carb for sure. The only way to get bigger is to turn a gas can upside down over the intake and open the spout. It would be interesting to see which one would run out of gas first.carb porn

you probably could have tuned that bog out with different squirters and cams and a progressive linkage for the secondaries.Nice looking carb for sure. I do remember my days when bigger was better. So I installed a Holly 850 double pumper carb with a full track cam from Crower and Headman 4 to 1 headers on a STOCK '72 Dodge Challenger 340. I almost had to push it to get it moving from a stop. But get out of the way when I got around 60MPH. Everything kicked in at that range and it would take off from there. I learned so much since then..
You are probably right. But you have to remember, back in the early '70s I was so much more young and dumb at the time. Now I am old...but still dumb... lolyou probably could have tuned that bog out with different squirters and cams and a progressive linkage for the secondaries.
I had my 650 DP on the 3.8 Buick V6 in the Opel GT tuned so that when i mashed the throttle in 1st, you better be grabbing second quickly. my 78 Dodge W150 had a 360 with a 750 DP on it. if I was in 4-low, I could get the truck to launch vertically when you mashed the throttle.
