(johnson 40 hp 1975) just got done using seafoam. i didnt go with the extra tank i got a can of the spray. i sprayed it into the intake let it run for about a minute then turned it off. took the plugs out and sprayed some in there. and let it sit for about 5 minutes. then i started it. let it run until the smoke stoppted pouring out. i pulled the plugs out. the top plug had black crud all over it and look like its been in there for years. the bottom plug had alittle crud on it and still looked new. so i sprayed more and let it sit for five minutes and did it again. still looked the same. what does this mean.

The crud on the plugs is from the decarb, i usually do it when im gonna change my plugs anyways, or keep a spare set for things such as this.

You now need to take it on the water and run it hard to blow the rest of the carbon out...
