Mother Nature takes a dump on you! 10+ inches on March 23rd in Minnesota...not unusual but definitely a downer (unless you aren't anticipating the boating season).

Working on the boat today in the rain, ice, and miserable "spring" weather here (glad for a heated garage ). Glad the groundhog said it would be an early spring ... I would hate to see a late one!

The recent warm temps have just been a teaser. It's not quite as cold in Cincinnati as it is in Minnesota, but we have a cold front moving in today that'll put us just below freezing during the nights, and a high in the low to mid 40s in the day. And this is coming off of a nice balmy temp of 76 deg F yesterday.

I get jealous of your warm and early springs you guys get down south of us.....but then I think of july and august here when it is about 70 to 80 deg with no humidity and you have it in the high 90`s and up and tons of humidity.....no wonder I stand out when I visit Florida in April wearing my shorts and tshirts and the locals are dressed for our winters !!!!!

Got the same thing in Southern Ontario. Got a heavier snowfall than we did all winter. This is spring......right.

Funny, I should come across this thread. Started snowing here a couple of hours ago. Sticking to the cars and grass, but concrete has been able to build up some warmth from the past week or so.

My wife says March is going out like a Lion. I hope not, it's only March 24th. We still have a week to go.

I tap a few maple trees. The ground's been snow covered and now with a few warm days all the frost is out near the trees, so the sap flows when the sun hits the trees. A good dump of snow under those conditions is called a sugar snow. I think it's going to be a good year for maple syrup.
