Its probably not popular w broadcasters outside the south because its based there and realistic in its subject matter, and has plots w violence and unsavory subjects.I think thats called censorship or something.But Im no expert.

I find drama etc without the 12 stages of a hero's journey to be really poor, to the point I won't watch it at all. Just my personal taste.

Phil, I understand,youre in Australia and folks who have never been outside a big city HERE in the US might think it was far fetched.But I encourage anyone to watch and see for themselves if you can find it.I find it touching and true to life in rural America,Similar things happen all the time.Its a series and some episodes are better than others.But they're ongoing w plots and charactors.Raylen will not fill his shoes but his role is as close to those played by the great actor John Wayne as anyone Ive seen since Clint Eastwood.IMO.Straight to the point and no BS!

What threw me was the word Reality.
I see it is an American drama series, and from what I can view (trailers) it is definitely something I would watch.
Must be doing ok as i see they are doing another 13 episode series soon.
We may well get it over here.

PS and off-topic.
Kid (Grade 12) just finished a 2,500 word Film review on Of Mice and Men, re Truth Power and Justice, mythical journey, 12 stages of a heroes journey (opposite to Reality shows I suppose), etc etc.
The poorly written Q was the greatest hurdle.
Anyway after close involvement I have brushed up on a lot of my 'forgotten knowledge on subject of english'.
If anyone has a kid about to get nailed with this one, let me know. Maybe my brat will pass on his work.
I do know it will save 6 weeks or double-handed-hair-wrenching, nail-bitting, silent-cussing, and generally-being-stroppy-to his-parents.

I watch it. It's a great show. Really dumb theme song though, totally doesn't fit the show.

Mommicked, You're correct about its content being more real than most any other show out there. The show certainly lets the language flow with out any beeps and such..... OH, and since we're on the subject of Justified.... I received a half gallon of true to life "Apple Pie" for my brithday which is tomorrow. It came out of Martinsville, VA. Its in the freezer ready for sippin night ! ! ! !

I stumbled onto it last year and have been hooked since. I like how they're going to greater lengths this year to fill out Raylan's weaknesses. There are some really rich characters on that show. That Mags is a skeery old gal. I wouldn't cross her. Think Boyd's my favorite though.

ezmobee,would you prefer Dueling Banjos?I think some Doc Boggs would be good!!!Or Doc Watsons cover of Mr. Boggs "Country Blues",and a friend made apple pie w Everclear until recently. N.C. has banned it(Everclear) because of college drinking IMO,My bud bought some of the last cases.I'll take a sip or two, but the everclear pie will hurt you quick,Its too tasty!Bud made it for Xmas presents....Holiday spirits!!!does make the kitchen smell good too!
