Stand it up with the plug holes toward the sky, and put the tranny fluid in overnight. Maybe it got wet the last time and has a little rust on a ring.

What is wrong with it 60#s of compression? That is good for that motor.

Not sure what compression should be. Most small engines are90#+.

It runs awile then dies. Drained bowl and no dirt.

Would try head gasket rings before
rings.

I would not be concerned about those compression #s 60 is good for them. No need for a new head gasket or rings. I would look at the filter in the tank see if its plugged up

Ok, so is the filter where the fuel line goes into the tank?

Flying scott

The filter was covered with gray scum. Soaked it and fuel line in carb cleaner, then air comp. Hope to try it tomorrow. Will let you know.

It is always a major problem getting the lower cowling on. Is there an easy way? Thanks

Just got back from the lake. After it ran at 3/4speed for awhile it seemed to like a rhigh speed setting. But Kept missing at start or lower . put some sea foam in and kept adjusting low speed with screw driver. Had to close high speed one number. Still doesn't run to good

Motor dropped going down ramp and caught the prop guard in a groove and broke it off.
Had better days

That's a bummer. Try cleaning the carb seafoam wont help you need to disassemble the carb and give it a good cleaning.
