This is about jumping to conclusion.

AH yes the old KISS principle!
Why is it that when you talk to people or read through forums like this everyone expects the worst outcome for their problems?
And in reallity if they take the time to walk their way through an issue 9 times out of 10 their is a much easier way, or easier fix for their problem.

(just because there is a cloud in front of the sun does not mean we have to move the sun over, the cloud will move on, eventually)

If I had thought things through before I did them 90% of the time it would save me time, money and stress.
Rant off

It's a hard thing to do sometimes. When the boat doesn't run right, you are immediately drawn to the ignition module, or some other little black box. You forget that without good spark plugs, wires cap, rotor, fuel supply etc. , you've got nothing.

OOPS, I forgot to reconnect the coil wire, good thing I found it, because everyone said it was the distributor that had gone bad,
Or there was no compression and I needed to rebuild the entire motor.

OR

OR

Please work out your problems out before it costs you a migrane or heart valve.

mindya thats what we are here for, to keep you on the right track. :)

Re: K.I.S.S--Keep it simple stupid!

I once got a BMW for $20 because of that mindset. :)
Granted I was in Germany where BMWs are like Fords/Chevy's here and it was an older one. But, they DROVE it to the auto shop because it kept dying on them at stoplights. The auto shop told them it had ZERO compression on all four cylinders. They were going to junkyard it (which would have cost them $15 at the time). I offered them $20 site unseen. Used some ether to fire it up, drove to the auto hobby shop and found the rotor and cap needed changed. $14 dollars later in parts and $15 for title change, it was good to go. I drove it for 2.5 more years, put it in the ditch twice, hit 125mph in it, and sold it for $800 before I left.
My wife still talks about that car, she loved it. Too bad it was German specs and they wouldn't ship it back for me. :-(
