Karavan Boat Trailers

Over the past 50+ years I have owned Holsclaws, TeeNees, Loadrites, EZ Loaders, Yacht Clubs, Sterlings and now I have 2 Karavans.

I often read comments stating that Karavans are low end trailers. In my case, the fit and finish is excellent, as is driveability, etc. I see no issues, plus their customer service is awesome.

Any comments re. why they are not the best?

From a dealers perspective they're nice to deal with on the warranty end, also appreciate they put their schematics with cad drawings online. No quality issues. Very pleased with their the build of their kbe 1250 utility boat trailers. They have drop down wishbone cross members compared to shorelandrs c channel cross members.

They are the best in my opinion.

I also have 2.
Solid, well designed, quality components - lights,winches, wiring harness, hubs, and axles.

Mine are 1800# and 2900# welded one piece, hot dipped galvanized after all welds.

Take your pick, roller or bunk.

When I was going to buy a new trailer it was going to be a Karavan based on reviews, quality and the dealer is local.. But I ended up with a a nice Shorelander at the cost of a boat disposal

I have looked at some prospective boats with Karavan trailers . . . my main thought when looking the trailer over is that they were structurally low end as compared to other brands, in that the main members of the trailer seemed a bit undersized for the load.

I'm sure they are fine, but perhaps the accountants helped out in picking the materials to use.
