KC,Got my prop back friday.Cost of drilling holes $27.00 :)It worked. The boat planes off alot quicker and still runs like a scalded dog,and when cruseing at 3500rpm I will guestamate Im running about 45 to 50mph :D .The holes that they drilled in it are about the size of a writeing pen.I could go a little bigger,, but I think I will run it like this for a while. The thing that gets me know is the motor at 1300rpm runs a little rough and wont idle some times when shifting back to neutrul it stalls out  any ideas on what I sould do.Is there any way to adjust carbs. Thanks KC, JA.

Some V6s have idle mixture adjustments on them, but you can't move them very much. Check your sparkplugs to see if they're burning well. If one or more look significantly different than the others it could indicate a problem with that/those cylinders(compression / carburetion / ignition).

As far as the prop vents go, if you go too big you'll just ventilate and never get out of the hole. Once you go too big, it's awfully difficult to get them smaller again.

Check for spark on all the cylinders at idle using a spark gap tester...

No, a bad switchbox can cause a misfire on 1 to 3 cylinders on the same bank... Not to mention a possible bad coil as the culprit...

Just check the spark as I mentioned before you go buying anything. It may not be electrical, but this is any easy start and check to eliminate that possibility...

Of all the things you have replaced, the only thing that would fix a misfire on a single cylinder would be the plug wires and plugs. You still have possible powerpacks, trigger and coils as a culprit... (IF IN FACT YOU HAVE A MISFIRE CONDITION). What I mean by "fire" is spark going to the plug, by the way...

Re: KCLOST UP DATE ON PROP VENT HOLES

As far as the ignition on this motor scence I have owned the boat (7-17-04) I have put alot of new parts on it,stator, rectifire, spark plugs, spark plug wires, fuel line and bulbe, fuel filter and took carbs off one at a time cleaned them and put them back. This problem is why I replaced all this parts. The only thing that made a grate difference was the plug wires, the old ones were jumping fire to the heads. You could only see this at night. The only major electrical parts left that I haven't changed is the switch boxes. If they were bad it would not run?RIGHT?I was thinking the carbs might be to rich.Ideas? Thanks Guys, JA
