keel guard on aluminum ???

is it possible to put that 3m keel guard on an aluminum boat? or is there an alternative to this?

my friend wants my help finding one for his boat...

some concerns i have...
-will it affect the overall performance of the boat at all?
-will the supplied adhesive work on aluminum...
-is there any down sides to have a keel guard?

It will work, have seen a few, adhesive appeared to be working.

You might want to move any keel rollers on the trailer, to a position just behind the keel guard.
