So i just git this nice, new cover from iboats. Fits great. I am worried though about 2 clevus brackets for my bimini. They are on my windshield frame on both sides. I dont want them to rub holes thru.

Picture this without the pins

I was thinking to cover them up with something before i put the cover on, but what? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm not sure of the dimensions, but how about a tennis ball w/ small hole punched out?

Had the same problem with my pontoon cover. Ended up taking a small nerf football and cutting it in half. Cut a couple of slots in the bottom using a pocket knife and stuck it over the bracket. Always had a couple in one of the storage lockers for those times I forgot to put them up when I removed the cover.

Another idea...mark where the cleats are and take it to an upholstery/canvas shop and have them sew on a padded leather patch. It will be on the underside so it isn't visibla and you don't have to constantly hunt down toy balls to place over the cleats. Would cost very little.

What I do is find out where the pressure points are and tape some gorilla tape on the inside of the cover.. It will be there for as long as you have the cover and it works great for a few bucks...I usually put about 3-4 pieces on top of each other.

+1 I just did this on my new cover (at the rub points), however something this protruding I would pad it with something.

My cover came with some extra material with adhesive backing. You could also use a couple strips of foam water pipe insulation, like you'd see on a rollbar, or cut down a noodle long ways and put that on there to protect the cover.
