Hi all,

I recently inherited a 1987 Bayliner capri. It's the 5.0 . I am looking to mount a kicker motor for trolling purposes. My question is where should I mount the bracket? Also is it possible to attach a quick connect to the I/O to whichever kicker I mount? Sorry just getting my feet wet. Pun Intended :)

My buddy has a system that looks like this:

and it works great. I think it's made by EZ-Steer.

Also I will take a pic of my transom in the morning and post it up.

Re: Kicker motor mount

Slightly different problem to solve on my boat. Main is mounted on an offshore bracket which sits back about 24" from the actual transom. I had a buddy weld up a custom bracket so I could add the steering linkage then added Troll Control so I wouldn't have to hang my fat ### over the stern to change throttle settings. Love that feature and highly recommend it for precise throttle control. Way more control than I had when just using the handle. Pics just for reference

Re: Kicker motor mount

Would I be able to use a stearns motor link rather than an easy steer?
