I’m looking for a 9.9HP auxiliary outboard for my 19’ fiberglass REGAL open bow. That’s so I don’t have to keep using my 4.3L for trolling. Merc. - Yamaha - Honda - other. 25” shaft no used one’s out there have to purchase brand new 👏👏

Well any 80's JohnnyRude 8 HP would work just fine for that setup unless your in the ocean and it would fish just fine there two, but...if you have to buy new and you want the 9.9 then I'd say Merc is the way to go.

American, new and matches you big motor.

Should be an easy pick.

Many 25" motors available.-----Location is everything.----Know of a 25" 8 HP now used on a 19' boat with great success.----Extension kits may be available.----New motors use up a lot of beer tokens.

The older 9.9 johnnyrudes were also a 15. Hanging over the back of a boat trying to pull start ain't fun, get an electric start

What’s your location? That’s probably one of the most common smaller used outboards in my area.

Gee, my 4.3LX trolled quite nice and economical. Any idea how much fuel you would save?

What about using a trolling motor mount that raises and lowers ? Used one for years on my 22' Islander with just a standard long shaft. When raised the entire lower unit was out of the water, flip a lever and it dropped into trolling pisition, locked into straight position, could easily steer with the out drive as a rudder. You can buy new if you want, lots of two stroke motors for sale in my area, gotta shop long and hard to find a nice one, but they are out there.

Nothing like having to carry a Portable Tank along if it is a 2 stroke. Maybe with a 4 Stroke Kicker, you could tap into the Boats Fuel line
