just venting - had a tough day, my guys not listening about site roataion a mile away, fraid I've been too nice and they ignored my instructions - gotta clamp down again, I'm gonna chew their asses tomorrow, then son who I have 50% (9) is complaining about a great dinner, told him no negative comments allowed tonight(my head was splitting), he had a challenging wknd in basketball, lotsa running and a sleepover at friends(bed by midnight, game not til 2pm next) and he is whining about after school care that I pay for, on Weds(he's usually w/ mom but she goin to bankruptcy court that day unkwon to him and we get along - just a switch in his after school care this week) and I take him to dentist, doctor as I am salary and she hourly /no work, no pay) and I just refuse to get mad at him - told him is ok to both be grumpy at same house jusgt not at each other......arghhhhhhhhhh, I know what to do with my guys but is tough with son.....didnt want to pick him up when I was work mad, so I didnt, talked bout school, did hmwk etc and god forbid I talk to the woman Im dating.....her dog had seizure today......just one of those days.........

Hey EZ, I've been there and done that. Before chewing them out, remember kids can have bad days too. Much of the stress that affects you, either directly affects them or at least indirectly affects them through you. I would much rather be the adult in this situation than the kid. I think the kids struggle even more with divorce, work, school, directions, etc. They are kids afterall. Good luck.

OHHH man dont sound like a great day !! Byt hang in there , I didnt it with two girls at that time were 1 and 3 , you have your days that are bad and then the great ones !!

naw I didn't chew him out, even though he said he wasn't tired, I know he was. back to normal this a.m. gratefully me and the ex get along well and support each others decisions. Oh and of course I get woken up at 3 a.m. as new kitten was keeping him up, so he crawled into my bed and put kitten in other room.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I did this too with my older(19 and 22 now ) girls and 2 step kids a ways back....glad i have a bit of experience to go on, LOL

Our kids. Dive us nuts ( but we love every minute) and then we get to go to work and babysit more childish people. Yup a bad day. Just hug your son and tell him you love him. He will give you a weird look but thats OK.
