Hello im installing a new remote control on my evinrude 40 from 1991 and the new remote does not have any ground wire?!? Howe does the kill switch work post 96? Now i ground the back/yellow wire to kill but hove can i do that with out ground?<br />I have manual for my model and it uses 7 wires <br />i have found 6 wires with out problems but no ground, the new remote only have 6 wires in the plugg. they all have the same color coding.<br /><br />Best regards <br />Per Mattson<br />p.s the new remote is for a newer motor than mine d.s
