I don't have the motor with me currently, IE no serial number or year date, IIRC it was bought new in 2003.. book was printed in 2002...
Model F25MHB 25 horse 4 stroke.
I had recurring carb issues, no high speed or big lag.. anyway think I have that cleaned out with crud in the carb, along the way the kill switch wont' work. Did it ONCE when it was about 1 year old one morning on a duck hunt.... Now it won't work most of the time. I pulled it apart and looks ok inside, IE appears to make contact and so on. Checked the black wire seems to be grounded to the motor and very snug. White wire I have not taken the harness apart to trace.
I"m assuming just buy a new one and wire it in, best place for factory kill switches? I could buy a generic or just a plain old toggle switch but why....
