Re: kill switch

do i have to run a new wire to the motor to ground it out or should i pull the switch out of the control and try to take the power lead and make it go to the new kill switch and back to the key switch...

Mike,
Not to be critical, but, the lack of any punctuation and misspellings , make your post hard to read and determine what you're trying to do. From what I can guess, you want to add a 'man overboard' safety switch with safety lanyard.

You should be able to wire in the switch to the appropriate ignition wires already at the console.

Re: kill switch

The following link will show how the kill switch wire is connected to to the ignition switch and the kill switch. The 'kill' wire (yellow/black) comes from the motor. When this is grounded, the motor shuts off. This is done by the key when you turn it to 'off' or by the kill switch when the lanyard is pulled out. Either path shorts the motor's kill wire wire to ground, preventing ignition.

I didn't understand what you meant by, "cord yea wrapp around " so I don't know how to respond to making changes to your current system. Hopefully the link below will help you wire your new kill switch.
