Looks great. That's some serious coin in gauges there.

where's the line between where the new dash and the old part of the console? Did you make the whole helm station...nice job fairing it into the old stuff if thats what you did.

very nice indeed.... very professional looking install...

so ya got any before pics?

what kinda boat is that?

how do you like that knob on your steering wheel? i've thought about getting one of them. seems like it'd make it easy to cruise and steer....
darn nice looking steering wheel too. looks like it may have been a shade pricey even... SS?

how does the compass work (is it accurate and correspond to a gps) sandwiched in between all them electrical devises? is it one of them
fluxgate (think that's what their called) compasses that aren't effected by outside electrical influences? i like the smallness of it + the
flush mount...

Well done! You managed to get all of the guages in and well positioned. The steering wheel looks great.

its a sunrunner boat, yes its a flux-gate cum-pas with a remote black box,i think after reading the forums im gonna be installing a volt and amp gauge were the depth gauge and dimmer are now ,the steering wheel is an edson magnesium smaller size . the 160 panel is nice but the switches are only rated to 10 amps. which covers most things but an inline relay will be nessasary on some higher draw items .

Once again it looks sweet, the idea of a voltmeter is a good one. A ammeter and a voltmeter may be overkill I am a huge fan of ammeters as they show exactly what your alternator/battery and electrical load are doing but they can be a bit unsafe and a voltmeter is as informative really.

If you do decide to use an ammeter get a nice quality 100 ampere unit, use proper wire and fuse both ends .

Duuuude! That looks freakin killer! Those two switch panels are sweet! Where is the seam? I can't even see where it meets the hull. Is it made from scratch?!

You better have in-progress photos!

Re: kinda humdrum dash but home made

here are were the 1/2 inch marine plywood is, there was a top section i had to match and then i epoxied the bottom section in and used some screws to hold it ,then a lot of marine Tex . but it kept cratering and in the end i had it pretty strait ,then i had it painted by the guys at svensons marine in Alameda California ,the painter helped finish it with some red putty . im not sure all he did . but i spent about 6 days of doing layups and filling craters etc on it . and he spent one part of a day . the svendsons guys are real good though . this was a final build then let cure then i shaped it .;http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x74/desktopgold/glorryshot.jpg
