Wow, this is great, wonder when Iraq will honor President Bush with a statue?

<< PODUJEVO, Serbia (Reuters) - Kosovo Albanians plan to honor their "savior" Bill Clinton by erecting a statue of the former United States president in the capital of Serbia's breakaway province.
The three-meter (10-foot) tall monument is still under construction in a studio in Podujevo north of Pristina.
"He is our savior. He saved us from extermination," sculptor Izeir Mustafa told Reuters. "I was thrilled by the work because I know what he did for us.">>
<< Clinton, as leader of the NATO alliance, is seen as the man who decided to bomb Serbia to force the late strongman Slobodan Milosevic to withdraw his forces from Kosovo, effectively handing victory to the Kosovo Liberation Army.>>

The fact that you reached out to Kosovo to bring us this behemouth 10ft. monument to bolster your obvious heart felt pride for Clinton speaks volumes of him and yourself. It's sad that his own family wasn't given the same loyal attention that he so generously sacrificed for the people of Kosovo. That was a real good try though.:D

Was this an unprovoked preemptive attack on a sovereign nation that posed no threat to our national security?
Did we do this to help people that were being repressed?
Shouldn't we have stayed out and let them kill each other off?

Here I will let you see what some of the hypocrites said when he went in,just in case you have forgotten.

Explain to the mothers and fathers of American servicemen that may come home in body bags why their son or daughter have to give up their life?"
--Sean Hannity, Fox News, 4/6/99

" President . . . is once again releasing American military might on a foreign country with an ill-defined objective and no exit strategy. He has yet to tell the Congress how much this operation will cost. And he has not informed our nation's armed forces about how long they will be away from home. These strikes do not make for a sound foreign policy."
--Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA)

I?ve saved the best for last.

"If we are going to commit American troops, we must be certain they have a clear mission, an achievable goal and an exit strategy."
--Karen Hughes, speaking on behalf of George W Bush

"Victory means exit strategy, and it's important for the President to explain to us what the exit strategy is."
--Governor George W. Bush (R-TX)

You a Clinton fan or something? I just enjoy a good joke - public figures (from any side) are extremely easy targets! :D

Dare I say it, the Americans got set up like a "banger at a BBQ" by the KLA.

Simple KLA strategy:
Attack your neighbours, (who are Kosovo's too, but of Surbian decent), kill as many as you can, drive the rest out, seize their land etc, hoping the Serbian Army proper will invade you and do the same to your own people, but on a bigger scale, then beg for America to stop the fighting, evict the Serbians, and all Kovosians of Serbian decent, and give you the country.

Why do you think the EU wouldn't have a bar of it......they have had to put up with these clowns for centuries and know the 'thinking' of these people.

Nobody wants them.
We even got Jumbo-jet-loads of them out here at the time....and guess what, not one was allowed to stay...they all got shipped back when the fighting stopped.....and the ones that did jump ship, got rounded up and sent back.

If you have any doubts, read history....remember WW1....then remember what incident got that going....and where it happened.

And please, don't seperate Kosov from the rest of that region. They are all in the same pot.

Clinton was the poor simple buggar in the wrong place.

Another point, ever wondered why the EU tolerated Tito. He kept them all in line, with a bullet, and when he died, bingo, they are at it again.

Cheers
Phillip

In the St louis area we have one of the highest population of Bosnia immigrates in the United States, if not the highest. They are some of the finest people, hard working, they have moved into, how would be a polite way of putting it, not the most desirable areas, in the core of the city, and in the last 10/12 years have pulled the area up and made it into one of the safest areas of the central city. A good portion of them are highly educated, but they take any job that they can get and go from there.Another big plus is that they are for the most part here legally too.

Re: Kosovo to honor Bill Clinton with statue

I guess I should have put this on the previous post, , some of the Bosnian habits are rather strange. My brother in law is a St.Louis City cop, he got this call several years back it was in the Bevo area of the city, the caller stated that some Bosnians were roasting a dog in the middle of the sidewalk.

When Bill got there he saw this large creature, on what to him, looked like a long spit, and sure enough it looked like it could have been rather large Greyhound, in his words peeled like a grape. After an investigation it turns out that it was a small goat, peeled like a grape. It seems that the perps were some Bosnians fresh off of the boat/airplane, and they were not aware that it was against the law too roast a goat in the middle of the sidewalk in the City limits of St.Louis.

I guess that wasn't one of the areas that got 'pulled up' as a result of Bosnian presence. If that is typical of new arrivals,I'd say the indoctrination period of acceptable traits here stateside must be rather lengthy.:cool:Carry on.
