Is it too far? That's why they have jets to take outside cold and dark places and whisk you to tropical paradises or even L.A. Anyway you missed nothing. They only use one hall out of 4/5 that make up the L.A. Auto Show. So pretty small considering some boats are larger than cars. Glastron had a cool 17' boat that was made to retro, like out of the 50's that my wife and I loved. We also liked the Bennington barges, very nicely done. We also liked the 13' Super Sport Boston Whaler. They had one with a two tone hull that looked sharp. Nice and simple boat, can even tow it with my Smart car.

I went on Friday (started another post about my experience). I have been going for the last few years and each year it seems to get even smaller than the year before. I was surprised at the lack of supply / equipment vendors and, while there were several brands that weren't there, the one missing that surprised me the most was Bayliner. They usually have a presence at every show I have been to be in the past. Still had enough boats brands there to peak some interest - the typical suspects......Cobalt, Regal, Chap, Sea Ray, Go fasts, and a few fishing ones.

Yes, the absence of Bayliner was odd. Besides being small, there really weren't too many people at the show which is great for attendees, not sure a good sign for the show itself. We really wanted to wait for the show before buying a boat but ended finding one we liked used before the show and after going to show, we have no regrets.
