Hi all

Im doing some maintenance this morning, went to grease the U-Joint and I dont see how you can get a grease gun in there and grease the fitting on the U-Joint. Also, the fitting is not a standard nipple, it is a concave fitting. Seems like a pretty important part of the puzzle so any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Hey, I just bought a 1990 L-drive, and I am still very much trying to learn about it. I haven't the faintest idea what u-joint you are talking about, and I'd love to know so I can make sure to grease it. Would it be too much trouble to ask for a pic of it so I can see what/where it is? Thanks!

People dog on these but we love ours. I think the problem with the Force engines is they were a good value and people who couldn't afford a boat at the time were then able to. As we all know these need maintainiance and repairs which isn't cheap. Then the affordable boat cost to use was still the same which was not in the budget. Seen this before with some of the lower end Porsche and Mercedes where they weren't kept up because the owners couldn't maintain them.
