Myoutboards, is this the "new to you" rig? There is a very easy way to get those numbers on a 90* looper but ya gotta be careful. I might suggest you post your question as a new thread. There's a reason, trust me.<br /><br />The 85-95 numbers are what we normally see on a big bore finger ported looper. Remember, they have a huge exhaust port and fairly aggressive exhaust port timing. It doesnt mean you do or dont have a problem, just nothing unusual.

I just want to make the comment that the thread title really isn't accurate. We're really talking about "shop" rates (mobile or stationary), not labor rates. We're paying for the equipment, facilites, etc. etc. plus the guy's labor. The mechanic hopefully is making a good wage (if he's good), but it's undoubtedly very small compared to the overall hourly rate you're paying. The overhead is the lion's share of what we're paying for.

We get the same "shop rate" whether on the road or in the shop...75/hr.<br />We do charge extra for travel.<br />I think you are confusing shop rate with flat rate.<br />Plan on 70-80/hr for anything done, or, they may have a flat-rate for trouble shooting, which is not included in the "fix-it" price.
