I need a little fiberglass/zinc/engine paint work done. In CT their gettin from $70 to $75 /hr. Is that the going rate all over or are they rakin us here in CT?

If this is your first boat, get used to it. You cannot gauge by car repair prices. Also, for some little jobs that they really don't want to do the quoted price will be higher. This is the cost of the fun of boating.

just like with most things,, you can do it yourself .. ask around ,it's not that difficult.. it can be fun & rewarding,too.. and spend the money you saved on fun stuff

Howdy, First Boat. Here in TX we pay $65 to $75 and the cost of living is a LOT lower than CT.<br /><br />Red sky at night. . .<br />JB :)

You guys have it good. Here in the Seattle, WA area the average is $100.00 per hour.

Howdy TXRiverRat. I tried Joe Pool a couple of times. Too crowded.<br /><br />When I need a sea trial or just want to put a few hours on one of my boats, I go to PK on a cloudy weekday.<br /><br />Where I really enjoy my boats and fishing is on wilderness lakes, mostly far north, like Lake Of The Woods, Leech Lake, or anywhere that is not crowded.<br /><br />Red sky at night. . .<br />JB :)
