Ladyfish Taught Me A Lesson

Ladyfish is full of useful tips and information so it came as no surprise that she taught me something new while fishing last night. Never let your tongue stick in the slot of a split shot when biting down to fasten it to your line. The poor girl pinched it so hard it was bleeding. I felt bad for her but God it was funny.

Look at the bright side...all the young girls today are getting there tongues pierced. I'm just not sure how attractive a split shot is though

Thats fine, y'all go ahead and have your laugh. <br /><br />Its been two days and it still hurts. I tried soaking it in hops but it only provided temporary relief. <br /><br />There is no way that one of you hasn't done the very same thing or caught your tongue on a treble hook while biting the line.<br /><br />C'mon admit it, I'm not alone am I?

have to admit,, i get things caught all-the-time.. i wish they'd use velcro instead of zippers,i.e.'beartraps'....<br /><br />if it makes you feel better.. at 10 y o,, zig-zaggin' on my bicycle,, the handle bars spun around .. i went flyin' off with my tongue hangin' out.. hit the asphalt chin first.. <br /><br />walked 2 miles home.. when my mom saw me she passed out.. <br /><br />my tongue was hangin' on by a 'skin thread'.. 62 stitches an months to heal....

I use pliers. Getting up in years, can't even bite fishing line any more. Bet you don't do that again.

Not to be insensative, but I LMAO at this remark.<br /><br />Actually sorry to hear it. Thats going to be sore for awhile, and there aint nothin that hurts much more than a sore on your tougue.<br /><br />One thing though MRLadyfish, she wont be talking much for awhile unless she has to.
