From the water I live about a mile or so away from Lake Griffin State Park. By road it's about 3 or 4 miles from my house. Nice park with 40 spaces for tents, camping trailers, RVs. Here is a link to the park website: http://www.floridastateparks.org/lakegriffin/default.cfm

I'm on Lake Griffin or Lake Harris every weekend weather permitting and the Harris Chain provides great leisure and fishing opportunities. The Bass Masters 2009 Season opener is here in the Harris Chain this weekend and a couple of months ago we had the Crappie Masters opening tourney. Here a few pics of Lake Griffin and the Ocklawaha River.

Do they have dock space with electricity? I have a 24' cruiser and would need the air conditioning that time of the year. I would guess there are others in the same boat ( to make a pun)
A better choise may be Huntoon Island state park. Room for maybe 50 boats and mostly all with electric.
Or River Ranch south of Kissimmee.
