LV guys, my wife, the puppy and I went up to Mt. Charleston today, it got down to 63 deg. It felt great, to bad everyone else had the same idea.
The puppy had fun running around. The break from the heat was very much needed.
And, when they say LV is 112, its really more like 120 where I live on the south side.

i agree. its always hotter than what the news says. add at least 5 degrees for the lake, also above the city temps. We were out today, my truck said it was 119 when we were leaving around 5 pm. It was hot, but was an awesome day out there.

Did you get the afternoon thunderstorm that rolled thru Vegas? Sounds like it missed the lake.

I'm at Katherine and it was 119 Fri and similar Sat. Stifling, but both good days.Cottonwood yesterday, on the river today and then home.

i checked the weather before we left, and it said 20% chance of t-storms but we went out anyways. they were calling for 5-7mph wind, so i figured we would be good to go. It was calm, sunny, hot and beautiful all day. On the way back in, it looked like there was a huge storm that had just come thru. Water and pine needles everywhere over by where we keep the boat. so yep, it missed Echo Bay at least, that I know of.

I wish I took a pick of the 120 F degrees my in car thermometer registered yesterday outside of Phoenix. Thought about going to the lake, but I could not bring myself to get out of my homes comfortable AC. Going to Powell in few weeks and hoping for high 90's to low 100's.

oh man, that sucks. I was at echo bay, we didnt get any storms. Wind picked up as we were trailering home though. that was around 5pm.

i trailer mine home every night, unless we stay at the hotel then we slip it. I'm always afraid of something like this happening. But then again I use at least 4 dock lines to hold her in the slip so its not likely. well, at least you can get it fixed it sounds like.

Sorry to hear that. I didn't know we were in for a storm. Went to Mt. Charleston just get away from the heat..

Sorry, I've turned into a wussey/*****!
That bimini didn't do, "dog do do", at 4:30, WITH THE WHEEL ON THE RIGHT SIDE going south to Cottonwood. When it comes in from the side.....May as well drop the bimini! Then add some salt to the wound, driving back to Vegas to the north with the steering on the left. I got burnt both way's!
Not going back till end of Sept!
That Glastron is still chewing me out!

At least it got evened out

I just got back from Willow Beach, launched at 8pm and loaded back up at 2am. The weather was perfect, but the fishing sucked

lived in vegas for ten years doing ac work dont have to tell me how hot it gets

Born and raised here in VEGAS and Mead, well that has always been like a neighborhood pool.
