A question from a new boater. If you travel to a small lake that does not have a marina with gas on the lake, do you travel with extra fuel? Or do you pull the boat out of the water to re-fuel?

Whichever is more convenient depending on the circumstances. Much depends on how easy it is to refill your boat from cans while it's in the water and how big a tank you have.
