laptop battery discharging

old dell insperion laptop, it has been hollding a charge great, would get an hour out of it no problem.

the other day, it just quit charging. in the power properties, it shows the battery as "discharging" I'm typing on it right now hooked up to the wall.

I'm pretty green at laptops.

Sounds like it's done. That's how lithium ion batteries go...working....working....working....dead. They rarely last more than 3-5 years no matter how they were treated.

cool, I'd rather have a worn out battery than a dead charger.
