I've looked at more boats then women lately, and that's a lot! I've found a Larson 220 Hampton below NADA and looking very good. This has a trailer too, but it's needs a set of tires It's a 5.7/Alpha. Interior is great the deals 'says' it runs great and they will toss in a 90 day warranty.

In any case, everything is contigent upon the sea trial next weekend. But for now, I would like to find out anything I can about this boat... quality, etc...

Any thoughts or experiences with Larson (220 Hampton)?

Thanks again!

Re: larson boats?

I had a 19' 73 Larson Velro Sport for years. One of the best boats I have ever owned. I hit something under water at about 40 mph and about 5 miles from the ramp (half way back the bilge pump jamed up with hull peices)and still made it back. With all the hull damage it had I should have been swiming. I am sorry to say it was the last ride but at least I didnt pay to have it salvaged and I got to take every thing out of it (motor, outdrive, cell phone). Mark

Re: larson boats?

Had a 220. Really enjoyed it. Only had a 4.3 LX in ours. Should really be a good performer with the 5.7. Bought ours new and had it for 2 years. Never had anything go wrong. Hope everything goes well on the sea trial.
