last seasons gas

At the end of last season I left one of my two 6 gallon tanks full of gas / oil. I live in NY and although we had a mild winter it still did get cold. Should I use it or am I better off not using it? My motor is 40 HP, 2 stroke, 1965 Johnson electromatic.<br /><br />Thanx for the input<br /><br />David

You can get a lot of different opinions on this. Some say dump it. Me, I hate to waste good gas. I give it the old smell test. If the gas smells fresh, use it. If it smells stale dump it.<br /><br />If both tanks were full and kept in the shade it's probably ok.<br /><br />Good luck
