I just bought a 25 horse two stroke and was told it was an 05 model. But I talked to a Nissan tech and he said the last year for the two stroke was in 04. So which is it?
Probably older than that. But.. Year of manufacture is unimportant for servicing, while precise model/serial is critical. Condition is everything on used outboards. If curious, you can call Tohatsu America at 214-420-6440 with your model/serial to see if they can tell you when it was manufactured.
I feel quite sure it is either an 04 or an 05. He said it was the last year model that the 2 stroke was made. Does anyone know the last year for the Nissan 25hp 2 stroke?
The 2-stroke 25 is still being made and sold throughout the world. The last year they were imported into the U.S. was 2004 so that would make it a 2005 model or older. Model year can be different form manufactured year.
