At our cabin we have an old fiberglass sailboat that needs some work and I thought I would try and find out more about it. It is a scow and looks very similar to a Butterfly but has a centerboard/keel that has a handle/lever that you can lower or raise the centerboard/keel with. The boat is probably about 12-14ft long. My issue is that the centerboard/is completely rotten and needs to be replaced. I will try and take a picture when I go up in a few weeks. No markings on it at all. Any help with identifying it is most appreciated.

If it was built in 1972 or later there will be a HIN number (hull identicication number) somewhere on it. Usually on the transom. You can use this to cross reference to on-line sources to decode the manufacturer. The HIN number usually also had information about the model and the build date as well, but a lot of that is particular to the manufacturer.
