Late 80's/early 90's Tohatsu 140HP and good?

Hi,

Looking at a used Tohatsu 140HP, (late 80's early 90's). I have had two 8HP Tohatsu''s which were the best motors I have ever owned. Curious what kind of feedback people have on these? Are they as Bullet Proof as the smaller Units?

I currently have a Tired Yamaha 175 which has been a great motor but she is getting tired so looking to repower.

I think getting parts may be your only issue.

The 4-carb M115, 120, and 140 share the same frame. Water pump kits are still available (and are shared by the current 70-115 hp TLDI), so should be around for quite a while. Carb kits are also available. Seal kits for the powerhead and LU are available as well.
