I have a late model yr yamaha F115 built 11/02. I was running at about 3500 rpms on my way back in from a day fishing when engine lost all power then stalled. I did a quick visual on engine no problems seen. Started engine no problem but was running rough, could not get good power again max rpm 24 - 2700 with heavy gas smell. putterd back to dock at less than 1500 rpm with gas smell. That is what happened now what I have checked and done.
Checked fuel pressure on rail 34-39 psi
Replaced items
Plugs - were wet but to be expected with heavy gas smell
Injectors - have not checked because of relacement
Little fuel fitter on back of engine - no real problem with that but has new one
Water fuel separator - did not see any real problems with that check fuel that came from inside fitter
I have not gone after the VST yet engine is still running rough with knocking at idle then stalls put fuel pressure gauge on rail to check 34-39 psi fluctuates as pressure clime engine starts to run rough the stalls when pressure get to 39 psi. Hope I can get some help need to get back on the water
Please post any part number if you suggest replacements so I can get right ones.
