One thing I would add to Don's list.....if boat is a glass boat is the hull waterlogged? The foam sandwiched in between hull layers becomes saturated with water and extremely heavy and some times will lug down an otherwise good running engine.

Well the boat sits pretty high and level in the water as I can tell from the stripes on the bottom of the boat. We'll just have to wait and see.

Re: Launched it today. question about prop

Took it out yesterday. Just as I thought , I didn't have the throttle down all the way the first time. I got to 3000 rpm like before and seen where the lever was and knew it would go down much further. I pushed it all the way down and the motor went to 4100 rpm and sat down on plane and was like a rocket. Well at least to me it seemed like a rocket. I'm sure that adjusting the front of the motor up helped out also. I'm glad I found my problem and thanks for all the input in this. Now I just have to practice my docking and undocking, I need lots of practice at this because of the current where the docks are.

You may be able to tweak the motor mount for the best top speed.
I'm sure we would all like to know your final wot rpm and gps speed.
