I had a Lawrence elite ti2
I was had problems, it was about 3 years old, I sent it in under a 50% warranty,
220. To fix or 460. To replace it.
With a 6 month warranty.

They sent me a Lawrence elite fs 9,
The problem is the typographical maps
Is not very detailed, it's missing a 2 mile bridge, but show 2 smaller o especially. The depths are off, one bridge has a depth of 9 ft, but the maps show 1 ft.
Every thing else works great.

I haven't went to this area to check depth. I tracked looking for river channels,
It's has next to know details,, and the majority of the humps i fish have very little detail...
Is it my settings, is the the reinstalled maps? Or do I need to up grade the maps?

Thanks for any help.

According to the manual, the unit is supplied with C-Map Discovery which is are entry level maps.

Need new maps if you want more detail

What's the best, avionics or c map?
Depends on the compatibility with your Machine
I run Garmin Navionics+ charts on both chartplotters

FWIW: Lowarnce used Navionics charts up until Garmin bought them a few years ago
