Our polititians and law enforcement system do not have the will or apparent manpower to enforce (non-cash generating) existing laws. i.e protecting our borders and immigration. There in no money to be had in enforcing immigration laws. There is money however in fines for smoking, having an ashtray, tax evasion, or not complying with "no smoking" poster laws (ohio) and we can tax the fat foods. Just a few of the things that are a real danger to Americans and "the childern". The socialist strive to induce and enforce ludicrious laws to fund their idiologies and make the ignorant masses dependent slaves of the state.

Oh they don't have ti suck it up here either, Lexington is a progressive town. No smoking in any public building, bar, restaurant, etc.

I can relate to that one. After my last son was born in 97, I ( She has since convinced me that it was I, but I don't buy it ) decided to have the twins, uh...disconnected. Army Regulation, if you elect to have that done at a military hospital, no worries. But you have to attend a class, and watch a video of some poor bugger being nuetered. And might I just say, the cinematographer had one HECK of a telephoto lens...

I love these arguements to restrict constitutional freedoms. Well lets toss in abortion, it causes a higher occurance of breast cancer. That affects me and the cost of health care. How about gay sex, and the much higher occurance of disease. Clearly not a biological imperitive. Just look at the average lifespan of a gay man. That affects my healthcare costs. Wow this is fun. We can outlaw everything that offends anyone. Communism is fun!

Hey this one sort of took off a life on its own also
I'd bet that Haut/Boomy and others don't know about this law.

Here in Washington state we still have a law on the books.
This pre-dates most of of us here.
On Horse back this doesn't matter.
But if driving a Automobile...
And you are considering committing a crime. (and in a automobile)
You must call the local county sheriff and let "him" (sexist) I know
that you are planning to do this.
Pretty LAME but still on the books.

And if you go into a resturant or bar that allows smoking, that's your problem then. Pick one that doesn't allow it and everyone is happy.

Here's another idea... keep the smoking ban's and if someone wants to go have a cigarette, they can GO OUTSIDE!

THEN everyone's happy.
