Sorry to re-open this thread after couple of years but I thought I read it all and I was a little disappointed that there was not solution posted . I also own a 2007 185 BR, and found exactly the same problem installing a set of trim tabs. 3 cups of brown water came out of my transom. The last messages I read you were so happy that everything was fixed , but what was the solution, what did they do? How can we fix the problem now that we are out of warranty.
