1994 evinrude 140hp looper. it appears to be leaking oil at the vro pump. i have redone the hose and clamp but it still leaks. i dont think its cracked and it still seems to be getting oil. it still seems to be leaking out near the hose inlet like theres too much pressure and a blockage. any ideas?

Hello Hardcore,

I am experiencing the same problems with my VRO. I have replaced my VRO hoses several times, cleaned the hoses many times, and the oil still accumulates on the hose where it connects to the VRO.
Yesterday I removed the sight glass and replace with solid oil line to the VRO. hoping to eliminate as many areas for a leak chance. I have not had the boat out yet but, ran it on the garden hose after the new hose change. Hopefully I will take her out in the morning. I will report back to let you know if my oil line and new clips replacement helped my oil leak.
If not, I hope you will allow me to tag along on this thread to help with my oil leak as well. Thanks in advance if you allow me to tag along.

Best regards,

Melvin
