Hello, I have a Bravo 3 that is leaking above that rusty transom plate bolt. Any idea where it could be coming from. Leaks more when engine is running. Leaks drips when engine is off. Bilge water ends up having light yellowish oil like steering fluid of trim. my gear lube is green and its not that. Any ideas?

That is the upper pivot pin seal. You need to replace the pin and seal, or the entire transom assembly.
Need your transom assembly serial number or at least the year

Pin can be replaced using the Merc, JR marine or remove the transom assembly and repair. The parts are shown in link below and you will need at least item 14 and a5, and if the gimbal ring is worn you will also need it rebuilt or a new one

Need to get things apart to see what else needs repair

Being an 08 then it might have digital trim sender, may not. In any case this will have the parts which may be needed

Need to pull the drive and then check for play in the upper pin. Can also take some pics up top of the steering arm. The pic below identifies the bushings, and below the lower bushing is a seal. See if water is coming in there

Question. If the leak is heavier when engine is running, is that a symptom of a line under pressure leaking oil and water? When the engine is off the leak is ever so slight. So why would the pin leak more with engine running?

Things like this is why in the sticky's there is a section of "how to ask a question". If you added this with the original question it helps narrow down possibilities. Need to provide everything you know about the issue.

Look higher around the exhaust boots and Y pipe, also the power steering cooler, if it is on top and behind the motor

What motor and year do you have?

Your transom assembly has a leak. Only you can get in there with light, mirror, phone , whatever to locate the source. Start at the top
Possible points of entry.
Swivel pin and seal
bellows
Y pipe
trim cylinder manifold.
Water fitting from lower unit pickup/gooseneck
Transom seal
Speedo tube
