Has anyone had any luck with a LED replacement with a PAR36 bulb in their Ray-Line/Jabsco spotlight? GE has stopped all production of the 4700 bulbs. I have been buying replacements from BulbAmerica.com but was told when the inventory was exhausted that was it. Well, that time has come and my spot light on my flood/spot light burned out last night. I liked the dual function as the flood was perfect for docking at the spot was perfect for spotting markers, buoys in the dark. I would like to keep that function if possible. I called West Marine, they stock Guest GE 4700 equivalent bulbs that are China made with a $100 price tag, I told them no thanks. The PAR36 bulbs are also used in the aviation world, my 1980 Cessna 182 has a dual filament bulb for the taxing/landing light, however, those bulbs are 28volts and my boat is 12volt. Some other bulbs I have looked at are for farm machines/riding mowers and have a very low light out put, 35/55W, the 4700 bulbs are 100W flood/spot. Any ideas?
