Left-Hand Thread Bolt

I need a left handed thread bolt, 1/4-20 X 1", for my 10" chop saw. Brand new saw, didn't know the blade bolt was reverse thread, and you all know the rest of that story. <br /><br />Asked the guy at Home Depot and he looked at me like I had three heads. <br /><br />Any ideas? I'd hate to have to order it from the manufacturer and wait... <br /><br />Thanks!

Steve, try a local hardware store like ace or hardware hank, i'm not sure if you have those out there but the ones up here have a good assortment of odd bolts.

Steve...I would definately order a new one from the manufacturer...that bolt should be hardened. I don't know what saw you have but most are metric anymore. I can see the headlines now...Man escapes from runaway sawblade with only minor injuries...

home depot?? put it back in the box and return it tell them it was snapped when you got it. and get a new one that bolt shouldnt have been that weak anyways

Well, thanks everyone. I ended up getting a new bolt off a floor model. I bought it at Sears, went back in tail between my legs and told them what I did and I guess he felt sorry for me and just gave me the bolt out of the floor model. <br /><br />Tmajor, thanks for the offer, really appreciate it!
