Hi all,
I am just setting up a new (used) motor on my boat. Can anyone tell me what the optimum angle for the leg is relative to the keel line please. It seemed to work OK as is but it doesn't look right somehow.Thanks.

There is no cut and dry rule. Try different settings until you find the best for your setup.

Re: Leg angle

Like bhile said it all depends on your boat, motor, and load. But if I were you I would start on the lowest setting(lower unit closest to boat). This will keep your bow in the lowest position so it doesn't ride too high. If the bow plows or doesn't seem to plane right, you can try moving it up one notch at a time.
