Hey 12Footer, believe it or not, I actually know where Lehigh Acres is! My folks live in Ft. Myers, and I have a friend who runs two veterinary practices in Lehigh. I've spent a lot of time in the area doing work for him. He actually lives in Alva. What's your e-mail address? I'd love to talk with you about the area and the fishing it provides.

Small world, isn't it?
Lehigh Acres is ok, but it is in Florida, and therein, lies the rub :D
I guess it's ok, if you like skeeters and constant heat exaustion. The traffic is fun this time of year also. {insert sigh} But I'll be retiring soon, and can at least, finally find shelter from the heat and bugs indoors durring the summers. The winters here are fantastic,if you can handle the incredible traffic jams ,added to by our winter visitors.
The bass fishing is the best found this side of the "Big-O", but for crappie, you need to head inland even further,to the mid-state.
The skinny saltwater is greatly improved over the past 6 years or so, but the new "manatee zones" will put you asleep at the helm long-before getting destinated. Next time you're down this way, stop by. I live on the end of Bruce Av., south off of Lee Bvd (the "main drag").Look for this boat (amoung others) and truck. Maybee we can go fishin?

Hey There,
Good to hear from you. In fact, one of the practices that I've spent a lot of time working in is The Animal Medical Center of Lehigh. It's right on Lee blvd., right in the middle of a fast food place and a Sherwin Williams paint store. Hardees I think it is.
You sound like you'd rather be somewhere other than Florida. I've been trying to convince my wife to move down there, but so far no luck. I'd sure like to see some of that bass fishing, and I really like that skinny snook and redfish water in the area. I think it's just beautiful around there.
My e-mail address is ZBlum@aol.com. Do you have one? I'd like to keep in touch. By the way, are you a native of the area? It's tough to find someone in Florida, from Florida!
My name's Ernie by the way. Talk to you later.

Hey Ebb,
Nothin' wrong with Georgia. This Yankee loves the South. I lived in Florida for six early years of my life, and it never left my bones. And I'm a big 'gator fan...and not the ballplaying kind either!

I like Georgia pretty much. I especially like the Clarks Hill reseviour area, but have never seen the Atlantic coast of the state. If it's anything like Florida's Atlantic Coast tho, I aint missin nothin.
